KIND OF WINE: red wine
VARIETY: 100% Nebbiolo
VINEYARDS: Occhetti
VINIFICATION: : traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks with a long maceration of about 15 days.
AGEING: 18 months in big oak barrels and french’ oak barriques.
BOTTLE AGEING: 6 months with controlled temperature.
COLOUR: intense ruby red, with garnet highlight.
PARFUME: the nose is fruity and offers a fine concentration as well as
elegance. It reveals notes of red berries and raspberry associated with small notes of blackberry, garrigue, racy minerality, a hint of spices as well as imperceptible touch of flowers and tobacco.
TASTE: the palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced, racy and offers a fine
freshness, minerality, a fine acid frame, gourmandise, dynamism, elegance as well as a good structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of wild raspberry, blackberry and small notes of berries associated with a hint of cherry, small juicy red berries as well as fine touches of sweet spices, laurel/olive and a hint of vanilla (in the background). Tannins are fine and very finely chewy. Good length

Serve at a temperature of 16-18° C.

PODERI MORETTI is a historic winery, result of the union of families Occhetti and Moretti, already present in Piedmont, Roero Area, since 1630.
The winery is conducted directly by the owner Francesco Moretti, supported by his daughter Alessandra, his son Riccardo and a team of capable employees for the management of all vineyards and wine making operations.
Skilful workmanship respecting tradition combined with avant-garde oenological techniques allow us to produce fine wines from Alba, Langhe and Roero, which have won awards in international wine competitions.
