Mila's "Sasso Nero" is a hard cheese made from 100% hay milk of South Tyrolean origin. It is a real cheese of character thanks to its long special seasoning. It has a distinctive taste with a slightly flaky structure. The mouthfeel shows a pleasant, fine and crumbly texture with notes of toasted chestnuts, dried fruits, honey, but also caramel and chocolate. The "Sasso Nero" is also special for its appearance; enclosed in a black crust that preserves all the taste.

Mila – Latte Montagna Alto Adige is a cooperative with approximately 2.400 dairy farmers. With an average of 14 cows each, the cooperative farmers graze their cows on high mountain green pastures all above 11.000 ft. and the milk will be collected daily. Within 24 hours after collection the milk will be processed in our two production facilities. In our Headquarter in Bolzano we produce: yoghurt, drinking yoghurts, fresh milk, ESL milk, UHT milk, fresh cream and butter. In Brunico we produce: cheese, fresh cheese, mascarpone and skyr.
