The history of Salumificio Val Rendena began on January 3, 1947 with a small butcher's and milk shop opened by the Gasperi brothers. Today the company still produces the cured meats with which it was born as fresh and seasoned salami, lard and rolled bacon and over time it has also specialized in the production of speck, carne salada and many other products of the Trentino tradition. Set up in 1962, the business started out as a small butchery. It gradually grew, then in 1987 the founder’s children Silvietto, Dario and Nora decided to start producing and selling high-quality Speck. Throughout 2018 and 2019, Bomè S.r.l. bought up the land around its site so it could expand further. This two-storey extension has added more than 9000 m2 to the original facility.
