Established in 1979, the Consortium for the Protection of Pecorino Romano cheese gathers the producers of Sardinia, Lazio and the province of Grosseto. Since 1996 it holds the collective brand that identifies the P.D.O. and its activity is closely linked to the achievement of the statutory purposes. For over 30 years its commitment is directed to the protection and supervision of the production and trading of Pecorino Romano P.D.O. and works for the enhancement of Pecorino Romano PDO promoting its image and knowledge in Italy and all over world.
